When using Polycom RealPresence Mobile on the iPad, business quality video calls can take place from anywhere. Users may begin a video call at their desk, walking across campus or perhaps outside of the conference room waiting for the preceding meeting to clear the room. As the user gets into the conference room, SmartPairing technology automatically pairs with the HDX or RealPresence Group Series video system and allows a user to easily transfer the video call to the room video system, also turning the iPad into a personal control device.
SmartPairing technology includes an audio beacon that is transmitted from the HDX or RealPresence Group system. RealPresence Mobile is listening for this beacon and begins communicating with the room video system through the organization's wireless network. Once pairing is established a new control panel opens, letting users control video meetings with their tablets (including volume control, starting/ending video calls) and transfer a live video call from their tablet to a big screen with the swipe of a finger.
The industry-first is a Polycom exclusive innovation. This innovation is simple for users to navigate and administrators will appreciate the flexibility of the technology.
- Simple wireless connection
- Call transfer and control from iPad with a single swipe of a finger
- Patent-pending industry-first innovation
